Notes: type loc. according to Chamberlin (1925 - Bulletin of the Museum of Comparative Zoology, 57: 463); certainly known from Arkansas, the northern records may refer to a form of Lithobius forficatus (Linné, 1758) or some other species according to Kevan (1983 - Canadian Journal of Zoology, 61 (12): 2948)
