Notes: Considered a junior synonym of Zelanophilus provocator (Pocock, 1891) by some authors (Archey, 1936 - Records of the Auckland Institute & Museum, 2: 51; Crabill, 1964 - Psyche, 70 (3): 165), but actually different from this latter species according to the original description.
