Notes: Considered a junior synonym of Geophilus rubens, Say, 1821 by Chamberlin (1912 - The Canadian Entomologist, 44 (3): 66), and of Geophilus vittatus Rafinesque, 1820 by Kevan (1983 - Canadian Journal of Zoology, 61: 2946), but actually different from both these latter species according to the original description.
