Notes: The label of the 2 syntypes is "Nova Hollandia et ins. Van Dieman" according to Crabill (1962 - Annals and Magazine of natural History, (13) 5: 509). The valid name of this species has been discussed by Mayr (1963 - Annals and Magazine of natural History, (13) 6: 509). Firstly assigned to the genus Tasmanophilus Chamberlin, 1920 by Crabill (1962 - Annals and Magazine of natural History, (13) 5: 509).
