Notes: The original generic combination was uncertain. The correspondence of this nominal species with Geophilus attenuatus Say, 1821 (currently a synonym of Arenophilus bipuncticeps (Wood, 1862)) was firstly recognised by Bollman (1893 - Bulletin of the United States National Museum, 46: 148); its synonymy with Arenophilus bipuncticeps (Wood, 1862) was firstly stated without doubt by Chamberlin (1912 - Bulletin of the Museum of Comparative Zoölogy, 54: 408; 1912 - The Canadian Entomologist, 44: 66).
